Peace and security in Asia

Foreign Minister H.H. Abdullah Bin Zayed participates in the "Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)" conference that began in Istanbul yesterday. The three-day multinational Forum aims to enhance cooperation to promote peace, security and stability in Asia. The Forum is based on the recognition that there is a close link between peace, security and stability in Asia and the rest of the world.

The aim of the Member States is to achieve peace and security in Asia through dialogue and cooperation that lead to a common area of security in Asia. Apart from the host Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, and the Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey and Uzbekistan are participating in the Forum with a few members absent.
